Why would a Rinne test be administered in a clinical setting?
A Rinne test would be used to check for hearing loss, specifically conductive hearing loss. The procedure requires the use of a tuning fork to check for air and bone conduction. These results will then help guide the clinician to the proper diagnosis and the correct type of hearing aid for the patient.

Trace the path of a carbon atom as it makes its way through cellular respiration. Begin with the carbon as a part of a glucose molecule.
Glucose is the main fuel for cellular respiration. Glucose will provide the fuel for the three stages of cell resp: glycolysis, the Citric Acid Cycle, and oxidative phosphorylation. However the carbon atoms will not go through all three phases. Carbon in glucose will enter glycolysis and be rearranged into a product called pyruvate which retains the original 6 carbon molecules. As a finished product pyruvate will then enter the mitochondrion as it heads for the matrix where it will fuel the citric acid cycle. However prior to its arrival the pyruvate is oxidized in to Acetyl-CoA. It is during this process where we lose a carbon atom as it is paired with oxygen to form CO2 which will be expelled by the cell. This could be an exit point for the carbon. The remaining carbon, now in the form of Acetyl-CoA will proceed to the citric acid cycle where it can either be reconfigured with the cycling of a four carbon molecule known as OAA. This might lock in some of those earlier carbon atoms. As the Acetyl-CoA and OAA are reduced in the early stages of the citric acid cycle, carbon can once again be released as CO2. This is the end of the line of carbon atoms during cell respiration. Carbon itself does not play any role in the last stage of cell resp known as oxidative phosphorylation and/or the electron transport chain.

Name & describe a property that will allow some elements to easily bond to each other in terms of their positions on the periodic table?
A property like electronegativity will allow some elements to easily bond together. Elements in groups 1 & 17 bond easily due to their opposite charges of +1 and -1. Same could be said for elements in groups 2 & 16 with their charges. This can also be easily demonstrated visually using Lewis Dot structures
