About Doug
I am a teaching junkie! I love nothing more than helping a student see (hopefully) chemistry and biology in the way that I do. I am endlessly fascinated by it, and love when something "clicks" for a student.
Teaching Experience
I have over 20 years of teaching experience, and am currently teaching Chemistry and Biology at a private high school, as well as night classes in Botany at a local community college. During my time as an Instructor in the Masters of Arts in teaching at a small liberal arts college in Southern Maryland, I taught courses in Science Methods, Instructional Technology and Research Methods for future teachers, and have observed dozens of student teachers during their internships in the public schools in Virginia and Maryland.
