What is a library database and why should I use one?
Libraries subscribe to databases to offer students and patrons free access to quality articles, information, and books that are often not available through free Internet searches. Databases may be very specific in topic, e.g. nursing, or may contain content on a wide variety of topics. Databases typically offer citation information, and searches can be easily narrowed by date, topic, publication, scholarly content, etc.
Note: I chose three topics because it did not appear that I could choose only one. Although I am well-versed in the use and rules of the English language, and I am a published author, I do not want to submit myself as an English tutor. My field of expertise is librarianship and that is the topic for which I am best suited.
