How important are good study skills?
Good study skills help to improve a students' performance in the classroom. Skills such as note-taking, actively listening, managing their time, and organizing their study materials with a good day-by-day planner can increase their competence and self-esteem. Being well-prepared on a daily basis can also decrease test-anxiety and class deadlines. Good study skills can assist a student in retaining knowledge through memorization and improve their ability to learn and retain knowledge.

Can students find all of the answers to their research questions on the internet/open-web?
While a lot of students have told me that they can, this is actually not true. The Library provides access to multiple subject-specific databases that provide the students with current, relevant, authoritative, and accurate resources that are oftentimes more reliable than what they can find on the internet. Many of the these databases contain multiple formats of information that can be narrowed down to full-text general and peer-reviewed results.
Is face-to-face instruction easier for students and instructors, or can virtual instruction be just as beneficial?
During the Pandemic, I have had the opportunity to meet one-one-one with the students who are embedded in my classes. I personally feel that when meeting with them virtually, the students are more focused and less distracted. Many of them enjoy being shown how to use the library resources when it is tailored specifically to their needs.
