Question:

How do I write a captivating science fiction narrative?

Inactive
Annie C.
Answer:

Science fiction narratives combine the typical narrative story structure in which a conflict builds and then resolves with the elements that make sci-fi unique. These elements include taking a contemporary branch of scientific discovery and pushing it into the future. Sci-fi asks the question...What if? Sci-fi takes the flawed nature of humans into account, so sci-fi always makes a serious comment about the nature of humanity and provides a warning to mankind. Sci-fi makes it clear that just because mankind can figure out how to do something, this does not mean that we should. Combining a solid narrative structure, compelling characters and details, and the necessary elements of sci-fi will help you write well in this unique genre.

Question:

How do I write a sure-fire essay?

Inactive
Annie C.
Answer:

A good essay begins with a solid introduction. Here, the writer provides background on the topic and ends with a thesis statement, also known as an assertion, which the writer will prove. Three body paragraphs follow the introduction, each with their own assertion that supports the thesis. The body paragraphs prove the thesis with evidence, usually in the form or paraphrased or quoted text, which is clearly explained by the writer. The essay is rounded out by a conclusion, which restates the main points of the essay, along with the thesis. The difference between a good essay and a great essay is in the styling, including the use of fluid transitions, a variety of sentence structures, and the writer's unique voice.
