I have held several teaching positions on some level over the years. I love learning new things and teaching children to improve in their studies. I also love culture and feel comfortable teaching in a diverse environment. My experience includes volunteering for library run literacy programs, being a substitute teacher and instructional aide at local schools and a stint as an adult ESL teacher.

In the past, I volunteered with Project Second Chance and Laubach Literacy Action, adult literacy programs run by the public library. I enjoyed helping adults improve in their reading skills and English speaking skills very much and decided to enroll at a private institution for TEFL teachers in San Francisco. Work as a Substitute Instructional Aide, where I assist teachers with mostly special needs students.

Tutor children in the elementary, middle school and high school grades in basic math, reading comprehension and language arts. Many of the students come from homes where Spanish is the main language spoken. Some of these children are English language learners. I tutor for PTA when school is in season, but not in the summer, as there is no tutoring then.
