Answer:

Fiction writing has to be very detailed in nature. People, places and actions are described in great detail in order for the reader to comprehend the story. This type of description is extremely different in playwriting. Characters relay all detailed information through dialogue to push the plot along.

Answer:

Virginia Woolf's Mrs.Dalloway was unique for it's time due to the language and the subject matter of the novel. Woolf utilized a new technique of writing called "stream of consciousness." Instead of traditional storytelling in a linear fashion, she breaks the rules and writes from the mind of the character with intense detail of her character's thoughts and emotions.

Answer:

An extremely influential play that was also made into a film was Leonard Bernstein’s West Side Story (1957). One huge significance was its ability to tackle social issues such as racism, gang violence and immigration by utilizing music and dance with Jazz, Latin rhythms, and big band influence. This tale inspired from William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet was able to be transformed to the screen with equal intensity and beauty as its stage equivalent. By West Side Story’s ability to be seen on film, people from around the world were able to experience the richness of this powerful story that was and to a certain extent still is a reflection of some urban American neighborhoods in our society.
