What is the mechanism of hearing?
We can hear the sound that travels in the form of waves. The sound waves move as longitudinal waves that produce alternate regions of compression (high density) and rarefactions (low density). The regions of compression and rarefaction change their positions alternately. The time rate of change of the regions of compression and rarefaction is equal to the frequency of the wave of the sound wave. Our ear has an era drum that responds when these waves reach our ears. The ear drum starts to vibrate with the same frequency as the frequency of the compression or rarefactions or the frequency of the sound wave. Thus we are able to hear any sound

How does a bullet fired from a gun attain high velocity?
The basic process of the firing of a bullet from a gun is the concept of the irreversible expansion of gas. When the hammer strikes the primer then a spark is created that ignites the gun powder and there is a gas that expands irreversibly. The expansion of the gas exerts an enormous force on the bullet and the bullet is emitted with high velocity. In average about 3000joules of energy is liberated in the irreversible expansion of the gas and the bullet is ejected with high speed

How does Physics explain the evolution of life on earth?
Physics is the study of the laws of nature. Physics, equipped with mathematical tools can help us in understanding various mysteries of nature. In physics, we systematically study the deep inside of matter in a systematic way. All matter is made of atoms, molecules, electrons protons, etc. Physics is the branch of science that studies how atoms are formed and how the atoms and their arrangement and hierarchy can lead to the different forms of matter around us. The life-sustaining elements like Oxygen and Water are formed by a specific arrangement of atoms and molecules. Physics explains how these atoms are arranged and what are the laws that govern the motion and behaviour of these particles. Physics can explain the behaviour of material bodies from macroscopic to microscopic scale. From the studies like nucleosynthesis, we can understand how stable nuclei are formed and how the elements that are essential for life are formed on earth
