Subject: Writing
How should the writer introduce the source before inserting a quote or any supporting information into a research paper?
Introducing your source is fundamental in writing research papers because it helps to guide the reader in understanding how this information relates to your thesis. After establishing your thesis, you want to begin your body paragraphs with an establishing sentence that relates what your paragraph is about to your overall argument/point. You want the information leading up to your quote or paraphrase to be informative and relating to your thesis, not detracting away from your main point. Don't forget to follow up your information with the prop\er citation as well!

What is the difference between an indirect and a direct object in English?
Direct objects take the form of nouns or pronouns and always "receive" the action in the sentence. Indirect objects take the form of nouns or pronouns that are affected by the action. For example, in the sentence "Alex bought his brother some ice cream from the store." ice cream is the direct object and the indirect object is his brother.

What are ways in which mood and tone differ in relation to any given text?
The tone is the author's intended feeling of a particular text while the mood is how the reader feels when reading. This distinction can be boiled down to a simple distinction: tone is the intention set by the author and mood is how the text is perceived by the reader.
