What is the idea behind Chekhov’s Gun?
Chekhov’s Gun is a concept that explains how every detail must have a purpose and reason to the whole of the story. Chekhov states that if the author mentions there is a gun hanging on the wall, it needs to go off by chapter three, otherwise there would be no reason to have the gun there in the first place. This also prevents writers from running their endings by cheating the audience with a surprise tool or unbelievable situations. Every detail, sentence and punctuation mark needs purpose.

What is a preposition in the English language?
A preposition is a word that is used before a noun or pronoun to show time, location, direction, etc. One of the easiest ways to decide whether a word is a preposition is to insert it into this sentence: The bird flew __ the house. If the word makes sense in this sentence, it qualifies as a preposition. Ex: by, in, after, below.
