About Carl
Born and raised in San Diego. I started my educational journey at San Diego City Community College then transferred to Long Beach State to obtain my bachelor's in communication studies. After that, I received my master's in the teaching of writing at San Diego State University. I am fresh out of the university and just got hired as a math teacher at a high school.
Teaching Experience
Teaching Experience
At San Diego State, I was a writing fellow/tutor for three semesters. As a fellow, I provided one on one tutoring for students. I hosted office hours and conferences with each student throughout the semester. I also attended the class to grasp and understand what their teacher was specifically asking for. I also tutored math at a local high school. After tutoring for three semesters, I taught a rhetoric and writing studies course as a TA on campus.
