Hello, my name is Ashton Cannon and I am currently a 6th grade Science and Social Studies teacher. I love science and technology, I am often reading the latest scientific discoveries as well as technological breakthroughs. I also enjoy reading, listening to music, and playing video games in my spare time.
Teaching Experience
My teaching experience has been varied and extensive. I started teaching my junior year of high school where I participated in a career readiness program that placed me within a local elementary school. The knowledge I gained from this experience led me to a local career center's teacher education program where I gained experience teaching in kindergarten, 5th grade, 8th grade, as well as high school classrooms. In college, I was in a variety of elementary and middle school placements, including a semester abroad teaching in Saccotz, Belize.
