Question:

What are some inexpensive ways to travel and learn at the same time?

Jesse M.
Answer:

One great way to travel with very low costs is through "volunteer travel" or work exchange programs. These often consist of a daily amount of work or time commitment in exchange for lodging and sometimes even food.

Question:

What are the differences between spoken languages and signed languages?

Jesse M.
Answer:

Both languages are communicated through the use of vision (observing body language/expressions), but spoken language also uses ears to receive information. Signed languages on the other hand use only vision to take in the specific language (Armenian Sign Language, American Sign Language, or British Sign Language for example) and they use a combination of hands, arms, facial expression, and even body stance to communicate.

Question:

Name one strategy for designing a writing lesson for children grades 1st and 2nd.

Jesse M.
Answer:

When teaching children how to write compelling stories and/or essays I use the basic concept of beginning, middle, and end. This concept seems simple, but often times for young children having it explained by use of a simple 2-3 line joke (setup, delivery, and punch-line) works well to get them to start conceptualizing it and later implementing it into their writing.
