Since high school, I've always held an avid interest in mathematics, namely in its applications. This is why I pursued a B.S. in Applied Mathematics from UC Davis. I recently graduated in spring 2017, and in my free time, I'd love to share my passion and interest in calculus with anyone in need. I know at times, math can be difficult to grasp at first - trust me, I've been there - but patience and openness are all that is needed to overcome that. Hopefully, after we work together, you'll see just how exciting and insightful mathematics can be!
I've always held my door open to friends in need of assistance in math, so I have countless hours of experience teaching friends. However, I first started freelance tutoring back in Winter of 2015. A classmate notified me that he couldn't make his tutoring shift that week, so he referred me to his two pupils. From there, I continued to actively tutor the two for the duration of their calculus series (sadly, only a few months). It was such an enjoyable experience. Ever since then, I have actively tutored friends and those in need, even to this...
UC Davis Department of Mathematics, Summer Undergraduate Research Assistant
2016 - 2016
With 2 other undergraduate research students, I extended MATLAB code for a simulated swimmer model in 2 dimensional viscoelastic fluid to 3 dimensions. With this code, we examined the effects of fluid viscoelasticity in 3 dimensions on varying swimmer strokes characterized by distinct stress localizations, as well as verified 2-dimensional results.
