Why do we have to learn about math?
Every year this is a question that I receive from students. Yes, we may not use everything that you are taught later on in life but it all depends on the path you take. Many of the math lessons that you are given at a young age are the building blocks to what you have to learn in algebra, geometry, calculus, and etc. Just walking into the grocery store it is important to know math! Figuring out a good deal, budgeting, checking your bill, all require those math skills!
How has sociology helped me as a teacher?
Sociology has helped me as a teacher to understand the many different cultures that I encounter in my classroom. It has given me the ability to be a useful guide in helping them grow and embrace their culture in the classroom setting. It is also important to show the students how to be mindful of their social interactions and other beliefs.
Why is education important?
