Throughout my various teaching experiences, the subject matter has changed, but one thing has remained constant my desire to impact students lives in a positive manner. I aim to make sure students are not trying to merely memorize a mass of information just to pass a test, but instead are working to understand the reasoning behind the concepts. The past two years I was teaching high school chemistry, biology and microbiology in Massachusetts and have just relocated to Colorado with my husband and two dogs! Prior to teaching full time, I tutored while working on my PhD in biochemistry and microbiology.
