Answer:

Let the breadth be x m. The length will be (2x + 2) m. Perimeter of swimming pool = 2( l+b ) = 154 m. 2( 2x+2 + x ) = 154 2(3x+2) = 154 Dividing both the sides by 2, we obtain 2(3x+2)\2 = 154/2 3x+2 = 77 On transposing 2 to R.H.S, we obtain 3x = 77-2 3x = 75 On dividing both sides by 3, we obtain 3x/3 = 75/3 x = 25 2x+2 = 2*25+2 = 52 Hence, the breadth and length of the pool are 25m and 52m, respectively.

Question:

“Justice delayed is justice denied”, do you agree?

Answer:

If the rain falls after the destruction of the crops, it is of no use. Similarly in the legal sphere, if a victim of violence or an innocent person does not get relief within proper time, it is nothing but injustice to such person. Cases are adjourned unreasonably and deliberately. There are procedural defects and loopholes in the legal set up. If the delays are not curbed, there is apprehension that the judicial system itself may collapse due to the burden of the pendency of cases.
