Originally from El Paso Texas. I received my Bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at El Paso in English and American Literature then received my Master of Science in Information Studies from University of Texas at Austin in December 2003. I worked at the Library of Congress/Congressional Research Service (CRS) for 8 1/2 years, then returned to the Austin area, and after a break worked at South University. I currently live in Round Rock with my husband and two boys, a dog, and a cat.

As part of the CRS Faculty, provided training to both small and large groups of congressional staff. At CRS, acted as a mentor for new employees and provided reference assistance on a wide range of topics. At South University, provided library instruction to students both one-on-one and to entire classrooms.
