Question:

what is a good way to memorize facts before a test?

Answer:

I like to use post it notes to quiz myself around the house. I paste them up in areas I visit every day and I write a question on them and the chapter from the textbook it is from. I have the answer written on the back in a very light color so it doesn't show through. when I see them, I check to see if I am correct and if I am not, I review the chapter it was from.

Question:

How do I find the area of a circle?

Answer:

you would measure the diameter, the distance between one side of the circle to the other through the very center. You then divide the diameter by two to find the radius. Once you have the radius, the equation is pi multiplied by the radius squared or π(r²). to write it out a different way, you would take your radius number and multiply it by itself, then multiply that number by pi or 3.14159...etc.

Question:

How does an ellipsoidal light work?

Answer:

Ellipsoidal lights use an reflector shaped like an ellipsoid to reflect and focus light from the internal lamp, through the lens and out of the front of the light. because of this process, the light is actually flipped in a mirror image, which is why the shutters operate on the opposite side of the beam that is being manipulated and why any gobos inserted into the light should be put in upside down as the image is inverted.
