About Rachele
I'm a mother of teenagers who went from a full-time mom to a second career in teaching English! I love connecting students to differing perspectives through literature. In my free time, I enjoy being involved in community theatre productions.
Teaching Experience
I homeschooled my own children for two years and later entered a post-graduate teaching certification program. I am certified to teach 7-12 in English and Theatre. I was hired as the English department chair at an alternative high school in my district, where I'm in my third year. I currently teach freshmen English, Oral Communication, Theatre, and several English elective courses. I also work with theatre students in two community theaters as a director.

Bryan Community is an alternative high school setting for students who are unsuccessful at the regular high schools. Many of our students have suffered trauma, are dealing with depression or anxiety, or are student parents. We also have students who are transitioning back to school after being detained.
