Tutor profile: Danielle C.
Student Success advisor, tutor, and educator
With a Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative Writing, a Master of Arts degree in English Language and Literature, and experience in many different avenues of education and literacy empowerment, my passion for the written word and for helping make a difference in the lives of communities excites me.
My dedication to literacy empowerment, equity, and diversity within school systems led me to become a Special Education English teacher. I invested in students who may be considered at-risk, underrepresented, disadvantaged, and with diverse learning abilities. Further, I strove to build relationships with students that fostered a safe, engaging, and encouraging environment where self-confidence, growth, and a love of learning could be developed.
