The dirtiest form of energy used is coal. Coal is created from ancient plant matter buried under layers of rock. With pressure and over time the plants turn into the solid coal we see today.
Why do rainbows occur?

This is due to the rays of the sun hitting the raindrops in a certain angle that the white light from the sun reflects and disperses into different colors in the sky. Because of this dispersion, you are able to see each color individually, creating a rainbow.
