Answer:

The IF-I-APPLY acronym walks me through the process of evaluating a website. IF-I-APPLY stands for: I- identify your emotions attached to the topic. F- find unbiased resources regarding the topic. I- Intellectual courage to seek authoritative resources that go outside of your scope of thesis or ideas. A- Does the author have authority to speak on the topic? P- Purpose or point of view- does the author have an agenda other than to educate? P- Publisher- Does the publisher have an agenda? L- list of resources- Are the resources used credible? Y- year of publication- Does the year published fit the time frame required for research? (Ex. if you are looking for a current topic, is the research last 5 years?) Roles, E., Thomas, S., & Phillips, K. (n.d.). IF I APPLY - a source evaluation tool: Home. Retrieved September 22, 2021, from https://libguides.marshall.edu/IFIAPPLY.
