the quotient of x^2+3x+17, when divided by x+3, will be?
x^+3x+17/x+3 will give x as the quotient and 17 as remainder using synthetic division
f(x)= x^2 +2x+3, g(x)= 9x. Find g(f(x))
g(x)= 9x g(f(x))= 9(x^2+2x+3) = 9x^2+18x+27
John has $400 for expenditure on jeans and shirts. Shirts cost $5 each and jeans cost $2 each. If he buys the jeans twice as much as the shirts, how many of them he actually buys?
Let the number of jeans be A$ and that of Shirt be B$ then, A=2B (as he buys jeans twice the number of shirts) and 5A+2B=400 (as the total expenditure is 400$) now putting the value of A we get 5(2B)+2B=400 12B=400 B=400/12 B=35 Thus A=2B=(2*35)=70 thus john bought 35 shirts and 70 jeans
