The TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) is a standardized test that measures the English language ability of non-native speakers. Why is this test relevant/important?
This test is important because a good TOEFL score is a requirement for applications in more than 10,000 of schools, universities and companies. This exam proves one's ability and skills to deal with an English-speaking academic or office environment, and confirms the test taker is prepared to do so. The test consists of four sections: reading, listening, speaking and writing of the English language. It's important to study and practice all of these sections to ensure getting a high score.
The Marketing Mix consists of "The Four Ps (4Ps)". These are the key factors that are involved in the marketing strategy of a good or service. Mention the 4Ps, and then focus on one by explaining the importance of considering it in the marketing strategy.
The 4Ps are: product, price, place, and promotion. It is important to consider the “place” factor within your marketing strategy because, after all, it is the context in which a product or service is offered. It is the place where your customer can find your product and buy it. It would be useless to have an excellent promotion, an excellent product or price if the consumer cannot find what you offer. If this factor from the Marketing Mix is weak, potential consumers could go to the competition. For example, if I sell lipsticks, I should offer sales channels such as Sephora, so that when a client wants to buy a lipstick, she can go to Sephora and find my product. If she doesn't find my products at that selling point, it's most likely that the client will buy a lipstick from another brand.
Henri Fayol is well-known for developing a general theory of business administration called Fayolism. According to his theory, what are the four basic management functions? Mention and briefly describe each.
According to Fayolism, management has four main functions: planning, organizing, leading, and controlling. The "planning" function is responsible for choosing the appropriate organizational goals and the best strategies to achieve them. The "organizing" function is responsible for structuring labor relations that allow members of the organization to work in collaboration to achieve the the goals that have been set. The "leading" function is responsible for motivating, coordinating and energize both individuals and groups to work together to achieve the goals of the organization. The "controlling" function is responsible for establishing precise measurement and monitoring systems to assess the extent to which the set goals have been achieved.
