Analytical Writing -- the purpose of analytical writing is to build upon the needs of descriptive writing by reorganizing the information into clear categories and groups while identifying their relationship to one another. 3. Persuasive Writing -- the purpose of persuasive writing is to build even further upon analytical writing by implementing the writers' personal opinion. 4. Critical Writing -- the purpose of critical writing is to take all that is needed for persuasive writing and then further adding a contrasting point of view to the writers.
