What is the longest paper you have written, and how did you go about tackling it?
For my Senior Honors Thesis, I wrote a 35 page paper on the impact of male readership on young adult adventure novels. Rather than become overwhelmed by how much I had to write, I created an outline of each point I wanted to make (including quotes from choice novels and research papers) and worked on one point each day until I finished.

What is your favorite book and why?
While I usually have trouble choosing an answer to this question, lately I have found that Zora Neale Hurston's Their Eyes Were Watching God has filled that spot for me. The novel does a wonderful job of discussing racism and misogyny while also giving her main character, Janie, autonomy. Instead of limiting her by the actions of her three husbands, Hurston gives Janie the ability to choose her own future. I respect Hurston's decision to unpack the impacts of racism and misogyny without inhibiting Janie.

Instead of a semicolon after "house," there should be a comma.
