What is the MAP of 90/40?
The correct answer is 57 mmHg. To calculate MAP, I used the equation of DBP+((1/3*(DBP-SBP)). Mean arterial pressure is calculated to determine the average pressure in arterioles as an additional measurement to blood pressure (arterial and noninvasive). In an ICU setting, the goal MAP is commonly set as 60-65 mmHg.
