Question:

What would happen if we put my brain into your body?

Inactive
Elese D.
Answer:

Although it may or may not be physically possible to do this, I speculate that I would be you, and you would be me. I might support this thesis by arguing that your brain controls a great deal of your personality, and contains all your thoughts and memories, therefore your personal identity lies within the brain. If your personal identity is within your brain, then moving your brain to my body, and vice versa, we would essentially be swapping bodies (or so the theory goes!).

Question:

Why do we need governments?

Inactive
Elese D.
Answer:

A government exists in order to ensure that a nation-state both functions smoothly, and has a representative body for communicating with other nation-states. Without a governing body, it is difficult to communicate normative expectations of behavior, and to regulate the way goods and services are divided and distributed amongst larger populations.

Subject: Gender Studies

Question:

Why is gender studies an important topic for everyone?

Answer:

Gender has a lot to answer for, particularly in the 21st century. While historically women may have made great advances, there are still huge gaps in human flourishing statistics for women of color, and for those who identify with other non-male gender markers. Learning about gender helps to raise awareness of structural and societal biases that may be preventing the successes of Othered folk, and in raising up people of all races and genders, the world becomes a better place for us all.
