Why are you uniquely qualified to be a Spanish tutor?
I have tutored middle and high school students in Spanish for many years. I am also an intermediate/advanced Spanish teacher at Concordia Language Villages. However, I believe that my most unique qualification is that I recently returned from Salamanca, Spain where I lived for 6 months. I completed 400 hours of language study at ISLA language school finishing at a DELE C1 level. I spent most of my time outside of the classroom with a a group of Spanish friends that I met through my Salsa, Bachata and Kizomba dance classes that I took 3 times a week. I also dated an art student at the University of Salamanca for 4 months and we only communicated in Spanish. Because of these real world experiences my oral and verbal fluency is just as good if not better than my written and grammatical ability. The combination of taking rigorous classes for four hours a day along with spending time with native speakers left me with an impressive fluency in both Spanish language and culture.
What areas of music con do you help me with?
I am an acoustic and electric violinist and recently recorded an album with my dad who is also an independent musician. I also play piano, bass guitar, and have a home recording studio. I can help with music theory, violin performance (classical, Irish, pop, and improvisation), songwriting, music recording, and much more!
Why are you qualified to teach English as a Second Language? ¿Por qué sería yo un been tutor para Inglés?
