BYU Independent Study, University Math Tutor Team Lead
2016 - 2018
As the leader of a team of five tutors, I was responsible for the academic success of more than 3000 students in College Algebra and Calculus courses over two and a half years. Our students lived all over the world and our tutoring appointments were conducted either through the internet or over the phone. In addition to tutoring, I was responsible for administrative tasks, such as scheduling and training.
BYU Mathematics Department, Research Assistant
2016 - 2018
I was funded by the BYU Department of Mathematics and a federal ORCA grant to conduct research in time-evolution of traveling wave systems of Partial Differential Equations. I developed Python and MATLAB code that can be used by researchers wanting to study any system of a generic form that utilizes methods of numerical analysis and finite difference. My research findings were published in the Minnesota Journal of Undergraduate Mathematics.
