I am an expert at teaching Cognitive Guided Instruction and have worked closely with Stephanie Smith (creator and author of Young Children's Mathematics) . One question I might ask is how can you ensure that all students have access to the math problem displayed?
Pick 3 strategies displayed from students work. Have students explain. Display 3 strategies starting from the beginning building blocks to the highest strategy which might be created algorithms. (ex . counting by ones , grouping, making a 10 to subtract etc)
