A direct object receives direct action of a verb: Yo lo tengo. I have it. Direct objects in Spanish are me (me), te (you familiar) lo (him or it masculine), la (her or it feminiine), nos (us) , los (them masculine or mixed group) and las (feminine group). An indirect object receives action indirectly from the verb. I speak to him. Yo le hablo. Indirect objects in Spanish are me (me), te (you familiar) le (him, her or it), nos (us), les (them masculine, feminine or mixed group).
