What will be on my TOEFL exam?
TOEFL includes reading, listening, speaking, and writing sections.
Subject: English as a Second Language
How long until I am fluent in English?
There is no simple way to answer this question. We all learn differently. Some people learn quicker than others. The English language can be tricky, as one word can have many different spellings and meanings. Instead of having your goal be fluency, it should be to obtain enough information to understand pronunciation and proper sentence structure.
Should I use is or are?
As an ESL teacher, I get this question a lot! The question I ask in return is: Is there one or more? When talking about one item or thing, we would use is. Example: This is my mom. When talking about more than one item or thing, we use are. Example: These are my parents.
