Question:

What are some ways you can iterate through an array of strings in Javascript to print (console.log) each string one by one? Assume the array is the following: let stringArray = ['cat', 'dog', 'fish', 'ferret'];

Answer:

There are several Array methods in Javascript to achieve this iteration. The most common way to iterate through an array of strings would be to use a for loop like so: for( let i=0; i < stringArray.length; i++ ){ console.log(stringArray[i]); } Here we can see we loop one by one (i++) starting at position 0 in the array (let i=0) and the console.log aka "printing" of the array items happens one at a time ( console.log(stringArray[i]);) for a maximum of 4 times (i < stringArray.length;)

Answer:

Semantic HTML is the programming of HTML elements to enforce the contents meaning. Writing semantic HTML means using the right element for the content type. For example, we would use a paragraph element for a block of text. Writing semantic HTML is important for organization and accessibility.

Question:

How do we define a specified state of an element in CSS, such as an anchor tag being hovered, and apply a style to it?

Answer:

We use an elements pseudo-class to define a style for a certain state it is in. For example, for an anchor tag being hovered, we would define it's hover pseudo class in CSS like so: a:hover{ color: red; } We want to define different styles for various element states to verify to the user that they are interacting with it. For example: changing the text to red when an anchor tag is hovered over by a users mouse.
