What is one way to become a good writer?

Answer:

Besides reading, another way to become a great writer is to be as detailed and descriptive as possible while being concise. If you are writing a short story, you do not want your reader(s) to become bored while reading. Descriptive language and imagery are very good ways to paint a picture for your reader.

Question:

Explain the effect of the Russo-Japanese War on how the world viewed Japan

Inactive
Jordan M.
Answer:

Russia had underestimated the strength of the Japanese military and believed they would win because their opponent was not from the West. Japan had advanced in technology and had built a successful navy. Japan had decimated the Russian fleet and won a series of decisive victories against Russia. Japan won the war and changed the worldview of many Western powers that Japan was an emerging power in the world.

Question:

Explain the end of Reconstruction and its effect on the Southern United States.

Answer:

Reconstruction ended after the election of 1877, when Republicans compromised with Democrats to have Rutherford B. Hayes elected in exchange for the removal of federal troops from the South. This resulted in widespread violence as white southerners who were previously disenfranchised began to violently remove African Americans and Radical Republicans from office. Once in power, white Southerners effectively disenfranchised African Americans who usually voted Republican making the South, a one-party region.
