Tutor profile: Taylor N.
What is a derivative function?
It is one that is used to find the slope of a tangent line at a specific value of x on a graph. For example, if a question asked for the height of an object at a specific time, one would use a derived function from the original to find said height at that time.
What are four of the most common sampling methods when obtaining data?
Biased, Unbiased/Random (SRS), Stratified Random, and Multistage Sampling.
Expanding from what was learned in Algebra 1, what is the quadratic formula and for what purpose is it used?
The Quadratic formula is x equals the quantity of negative b plus or minus the square root of the quantity b squared minus 4ac, all over the quantity of 2a. Or x = (-b ± √(b^2-4ac)) / (2a). It is used to find the simplified version, or the zeros, of the equation y = ax^2 + bx + c.
