Question:

A student needs help with understanding how to conjugate verbs, how would you help?

Create a conjugation chart showing the different ending for verbs: -ar, -er, -ir. Show an example with a verb the student knows, then have them try another word. Continue to practice until the student fully understands.

Question:

A student needs help expanding her vocabulary, how would you help improve this?

Jaqueline G.
Answer:

Start off by picking a theme/location, for instance, the zoo. Ask what things/animals are in the zoo. Translate it to what these words are in English. Have the student write them down on flashcards along with drawings/visuals that help the student understand and remember. Constantly practice these flashcards with the student. Ask the student questions about the words to assess the improvement.

Question:

If a student needs help with the following algebra problem, how would you help them understand the concept and answer?: 4(x+6)

Jaqueline G.
Answer:

To start off I would ask the student what the first step would be and why. I would begin to explain the concept of distributive property and how it works in this problem. Then make the student practice this concept until it is mastered. Explain that this is how this type of questions are solved.
