About Caitlin
My name is Caitlin Jackson. I am the Teen and STEAM librarian at the Birmingham Public Library. I graduated from UAB with a major in English and minor in creative writing and from the University of Alabama with a Master's in Library and Information Studies. I love pre-1800s literature and modern TV and my newest interests are basic circuitry and wood-burning.
Teaching Experience
Teaching Experience
For four years, I worked at Desoto Caverns where I provided tours about the cave to various groups, as well as in-depth presentations to groups that stayed overnight in the cave. These tours and presentations had varying levels of historical and scientific information. At the Birmingham Public Library, I provide STEAM programming to youth and young adults, including circuitry, soldering, coding, coding with robots, and 3D printing.
