When writing a paper, why is a thesis needed? What is a thesis? What would help one construct a strong paper?
A thesis is needed in every paper because it is the author's main argument. Without it, there is no argument or main point. Every paper should demand an outline to establish order as the writer prepares his or her introduction, paragraphs and conclusion.
What are some key elements one might consider while exploring a story's context? In other words, what are some significant elements essential to understanding the story?
Some things to study closely are those that include the story's tone, use of symbols or symbolization, themes, characterization, choice of narrative (e.g. first person, third person), etc.
What does an English paper need to serve as a strong argument? Is there a such thing as an argument being right or wrong?
No. An essay's argument can be as strong as possible with use of evidence and support from outside resources and/or the book by which it may be based upon.
