About Kim
Hi there! I am a senior undergraduate research student. My lab uses physics, physiology, neuroscience and molecular biology to study the largest protein in the body of almost every animal in the world so that we can better understand how and why the body turns DNA into its final product. I love spending time trying to discover new things that no one has seen before and I love bridging the gap between scientific research and the public.
Teaching Experience
I have been working as a teaching assistant for the past two years both in lecture courses as well as lab courses, and work as a student mentor within my research lab at school. As a senior level student, it is part of my responsibility to "show the ropes" to students new to the lab so to speak, so my daily experience in the lab means working on my research as well as teaching others about it!
