Tutor profile: Catherine C.

I am a fourth year Ph.D. student at Cornell University, where I study the history of technology in US prisons. I teach freshman writing seminars on technology, ethics, and society. Before working at Cornell, I received my Master's in Media, Culture, and Communication from NYU and my Bachelor's in English from Saint Joseph's University.

I have taught college classes for the last three years at Cornell University, including English and History writing seminars "Carceral Technologies" "Memoir and Memory" and "Media, Death and Obsolescence." I've TA-ed larger lecture style classes on the "Sociology of Medicine," "Life Science and Society," and "Computing Cultures." I also taught the history of media and communications to seniors at NYU.
