Subject: Writing
Why do I have to learn to write better if I'm not going to be a writer?
Writing is one of the main forms of communication, especially in today's workforce. In every career field we are required to write emails, texts, documents, and so much more. Being able to write clear and effective communication is essential for being prepared. True, the narrative essay for your English class may not be exactly what you'll be writing in the future, but it prepares you and gives you practice at forming points, defending them with evidence, and guiding a reader through your thinking in a smooth, coherent way. All of that is important for any future writing, regardless of format.

My unique strategy of "Due Dates and Do Dates" will help you master this necessary skill in just two weeks.
Subject: English
What is the point of having English classes be required for high schoolers who already speak English?
English classes are far more than just "speaking" English. These courses serve to broaden our horizons, help us train our brains to think more critically and complexly, and sharpen our skillsets so we can use those in every other subject area and career field.
