Teaching Experience
The education program at UNCW is a two-year commitment, beginning with a semester of observation and limited time in the classroom. The second and third semester combines experience tutoring students one on one and teaching mini-lessons, while the final semester is designed to prepare educators for full-time teaching. I taught ninth and tenth graders at John T. Hoggard High School in Wilmington, NC from January to May of 2021. RUF is a college campus ministry that seeks to reach students for Christ and equip students to serve their neighbors. My job as an intern is to mentor female students, plan group events, and facilitate a large group teaching every week alongside an ordained minister and other interns.
