First, we need to recognize that this is a transmembrane protein. The membranes of our cells are composed of a lipid bilayer, meaning the middle of the membrane is hydrophobic or non-polar. If we are trying to figure out the amino acids that are on the surface (facing the lipids in the bilayer), we need to find amino acids that are hydrophobic just like the lipids. Hydrophobic (or non-polar) amino acids are alanine, leucine, isoleucine, proline, tryptophan, valine, phenylalanine, and methionine. These amino acids will be found on the surface of a transmembrane protein.

Next, we just need to multiply our moles with the molar mass. 15 moles x 44 grams/mol. This cancels our mole units and leaves us with only grams. 660 grams is our answer.
