About Rachel

About Rachel
I'm an art, neuroscience/psychology, and computer engineering major (yikes) at Oberlin College, with a passion for drawing chickens and climbing things in my spare time. I actually love college apps -- I know, right? -- and have had a 75% acceptance rate in the last two years. My not-so-guilty pleasure is Trader Joe's chicken caesar salad without the dressing; my *other* not-so-guilty pleasure is editing essays!

Teaching Experience

Teaching Experience
I have been tutoring a variety of both traditional and nontraditional subjects for over four years, with students between 4 and 16 years old. My teaching method revolves around incorporation of real-world situations into subject matter, to make lessons more memorable, tangible, and applicable. My students generally see a significant shift in performance within a couple of weeks.
