About Rachel

About Rachel
I'm a recent graduate with a double major in computer science and visual art from Oberlin College; in my spare time, you can find me drawing chickens and climbing things. My not-so-guilty pleasure is Trader Joe's chicken caesar salad without the dressing; my *other* not-so-guilty pleasure is editing essays!

Teaching Experience

Teaching Experience
I've designed and taught a course on harm reduction at Oberlin College since fall 2018, in addition to having been a tutor in a variety of both traditional and nontraditional subjects for over six years with students between 4 and 16 years old. My teaching method revolves around incorporation of real-world situations into subject matter, to make lessons more memorable, tangible, and applicable. My students generally see a significant shift in performance within a couple of weeks.
