Questions

Subject: Writing

Question:

Does Academic Writing require big and difficult words to demonstrate that you understand what you are explaining?

Inactive
Maria O.
Answer:

In my own experience and understanding, not at all. Of course, there are words that can be replaced in order to give a more formal and professional image to the essay, but there is no point in using difficult words if you have no idea what you are trying to argue.
