Living in the diverse suburbs of Atlanta, I marvel at the sound of Spanish, English, Korean, Bosnian, Hindi, Urdu Russian, Arabic, Romanian and Vietnamese all being spoken along the same sidewalks, in the same shopping centers and in the same restaurants. I’m often absorbed into the conversations of those around me, continuously honing in on all the various languages being spoken around me. I’m simply astounded by the multitude and complexity of human language.

After learning Spanish, and dabbling in many other languages, I reached a point where I wanted to share what I've learned with others in hopes that they, too, would learn to see and love the world through different eyes and a different language. So,I began giving impromptu language lessons to anyone who would ask at the beginning and end of classes.
