Question:

We live in digital era where many of us has there own blogging site or web site or contributing through articles. What are the common habits one should avoid having on there web page to keep readers engaged ?

Jimit M.
Answer:

1. Long Pages of Text – Many surveys have clearly concluded that website users don’t like to scroll more than couple of time to go through the articles/content. Having a product page which are full of alphabets, graphs, quotes and many that concludes in making several scrolls to reach the bottom which might take away impact of website. Many researchers even stated that if you have long text pages on your website, you are probably trying to communicate too many ideas on that page. Read through and ask yourself, “Is this all about one topic?” If the answer is “no,” then divide that page into a couple short pages that each contain a single idea. This type of lucidification will make it easier for your users. 2. Technical Terminologies – Your website should have content written with customers in mind and there basic understanding level. Doing guessing work that potential users know and understand all technical and modern terminology is a big mistake. Going through your website and highlighting terms that are not commonly used and giving one-liner explanation will engage even non-technical curios users more efficiently. A survey regarding which words your users aware are of and which are alien to them, so accordingly you can proceed. You can also simply replace highlighted words and replace them with lucid words. 3. Images – Graphical representation is really important for all kind of information. However, many websites take it very seriously and over-do by putting too many images. The problem with having one to many images is that they can drastically slow down the load time for your website in a web browser. Search engines also consider page load time when ranking websites and displaying results. Aged websites that has been around for a while now often end up having lots of images, and many of them no longer go have any relevance with your site. The case of images is same as having animation or videos though in lot milder way, as major share of India is still using 2G speed data pack in mobiles and 512kbps broadband speed until recently which has been doubled to 1mbps yet not fast enough as mentioned earlier. 4. Too many Animations or Videos – Flash animations or videos will do no good to for search engine optimisation. One should remember that when users visit your website they are expecting some specific data and animations/video provides best explanation. That said, one should also remember that it can often be slow to load, which slows down the user and can make them abandon your website as major share of India is still using 2G speed data pack in mobiles and 512kbps broadband speed until recently which has been doubled to 1mbps yet not fast enough.

Question:

Most of the time one will here turbocharger and supercharger at the same time. Can you name what are the similarities between them and then importantly differentiate the same ?

Jimit M.
Answer:

For the first part of the question stating the similarities between Turbocharger and supercharger: 1. They both are attached to engine to produce more power (almost 40%-50% more power has been recorded) by increasing the amount of air through force induction in combustion chamber. 2. Both has chamber and turbine like structure to compress the air and induce in the engine though not the way they are powered and placed in the system. Coming to the second part of the question where we need to differentiate between them: 1. Turbocharger uses exhaust gas energy to rotate the turbine and compress the air while Supercharger is driven directly by engine through belt. 2. Turbocharger can go up to 150,000 rpm while supercharger around 50,000 rpm (rpm=rotation per minute). 3. Supercharger can deliver power instantaneously but one can feel lag before turbocharger delivers that is called "Turbo-Lag". 4. At higher rpm Turbocharger is more effective once it kicks in while supercharger is not as effective on higher rpm as it is on lower rpm. 5. Due to cost effective and economical factors turbochargers are widely used.
