I am a 46 year old wife and mother of three. Our family gets its mail in Florida, but we have lived abroad for the past 5 1/2 years, both in Belize and in Mexico. I have an extensive background in education, with certifications ranging from secondary ed (English and social studies) to school counseling (K-12) to instructional design with an emphasis in online learning. I grew up on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, which is where I met my husband, and when I'm not working, I enjoy reading, traveling, shopping, and dining out.
I taught English/Speech/Drama on the high school level for 6 years, after which I was a school counselor at the K-5 level for 8 years. After taking off a couple of years, I completed my Ph.D. and have been teaching on the university level (both graduate and undergraduate) for the last 4 years.
